  • PromNight.ca produces the best high school graduation celebrations in Canada. Our team is a collective of artistic & cultured creators. We have been helping students imagine & achieve the most amazing, memorable proms for more than 20 years.

  • Our effort to increase communication & engagement with parents has resulted in important new perspectives being brought into prom planning. Any suggestions from parents are taken into earnest consideration. Proms can only get better & better thanks to your valuable insights. If you are interested in joining a parent committee and/or chaperoning an event, please get in touch.

  • All graduates are extended invitations by their school’s Prom Committee. They, along with their dates, are the attendees of the event. Each Prom Committee decides whether teachers, parents, and guests from other schools are invited. Our proms are run as private events – non-ticketed entry is not allowed.

  • Prom Committees typically invite parents to a pre-reception photo opportunity (such as a garden party or pre-prom) to commemorate the momentous occasion as families. Prom Night celebrations tend to be student-only events. If you are interested in chaperoning an event, please get in touch.

  • Yes. The PromNight.ca team is made up of professional adults with over 20 years of experience in student event planning, management, and supervision. All PromNight.ca events are staffed by our qualified team & contracted security personnel. There is always emergency medical personnel at After Prom events. We contract only qualified personnel for prom events, each trained & prepared to handle any incident that may arise in a swift and skillful manner.

  • We have a strict zero-tolerance policy on underage drinking and driving under the influence, enforced through security checkpoints, provision of shuttle busses, and contracting appropriate personnel. At After Proms taking place in Quebec, attendees 18+ will need photo ID to access the licensed bar; we enforce a strict bracelet system for bar access. Graduates are always eager to be treated like adults, so they are expected to act like adults: know their limits, make mature decisions, and respect the rules.

  • Not always. Schools can be involved with prom planning, including as bankers of student-raised fundraising revenue to be used for expenses such as venues & food.

For Attendees

  • Tickets sales typically begin in early May. Classmates will be given ample notice of the sales period. Each school’s Prom Committee will communicate clearly about where to buy tickets. Tickets are also available online through this website.

    If your Prom Committee is organizing an After Prom, act fast because only a limited number of tickets will be available!

  • Service charges on PromNight.ca ticket purchases encompass a variety of non-refundable fees associated with event management and transactions. These fees include:

    • Credit Card Processing Fees: These fees cover the charges imposed by banks for processing your credit card payments. We make every effort to keep these charges as low as possible, lower than what you might encounter with other ticketing services like Ticketmaster.
    • Ancillary Ticket Processing Fees: These fees are associated with the handling and processing of tickets.
    • Facility Charges: Facility charges contribute to the maintenance and operation of the event venue.
    • Clean-Up Fees: These fees are used for post-event clean-up and maintenance of the event space.
    • SOCAN Fees: SOCAN fees are related to music copyright and licensing for the event.
    • Re:Sound Fees: Re:Sound fees pertain to the use of recorded music at the event.
    • Union Fees: Union fees are associated with any labor unions involved in the event set-up, production, and tear-down.
    • Non-Refundable Booking and Security Deposits: These deposits and their associated administrative fees are essential for securing the event space.
    • Gratuities and Service Charges for Serving Staff: These charges are distributed to the culinary staff as gratuities and service fees for their services during the event.
  • Each Prom Night committee designs the evening’s schedule and makes it known well in advance of the event. Ask your Prom Reps for the start time if still unknown two weeks prior the event. Or get in touch with us.

  • It is up to your school’s Prom Committee to determine the event’s theme, which may include dress code or enforcement. Typically, the prom reception is a formal affair and After Proms are casual. But you can absolutely keep things easy by staying in the same gorgeous outfit all night!

  • No. All prom events are for all ages. If you’re After Prom is taking place in Quebec and your 18+, you’ll need photo ID to access the licensed bar. We enforce a strict bracelet system for bar access. Graduates are always eager to be treated like adults, so you will be expected to act like adults. Know your limits, make mature decisions, and respect the rules.

  • For many grads, the After Prom is as exciting as the prom dinner.

    With so much to celebrate, it's a chance to keep the party going once the reception has wrapped : more music, dancing, fun, and memory-making!

    We help your Prom Committee design a mind-blowing full-sensory experience for After-Prom. The party features chill-out zones, photo settings, romantic views, outdoor space, special effects, and of course, superfun dance floors hosted by our popular DJs.

  • In keeping with our strict no driving under the influence policy, we absolutely will not allow students to drive themselves to After Prom. Included in your ticket is transportation to get you home safely. Pre-arranged busses will shuttle you from the dinner reception to After Prom, and will drop you off afterward at locations determined by your school’s Prom Committee, including one close to your school. If you decide to book a limo or get a ride from a parent, please notify your Prom Committee in advance.

  • Yes. To accommodate factors such as affordability, religion, and parental preference, prom-goers have three ticketing options:

    1) Dinner Only
    2) All Access (Dinner + After-Prom)
    3) After Prom Only

  • Keep your ticket in a really safe place until the night of the event. Like most ticketed events, it is like cash and cannot be replaced – the only way to attend would be to buy another ticket.

    From the Conditions of Sale : "All tickets and wristbands are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-replaceable in the case of loss or destruction. Tickets/wristbands are only valid on the event date. Unused tickets/wristbands have no cash value."

  • No. For safety and security reasons, all Prom Night tickets are non-refundable.

    However, partial or full refunds (subject to the non-refundable service fee), may be considered in circumstances outside of the participant’s control, when supported by a written request which includes supporting documentation, such as the participant having moved outside of the event region.

    Approved refunds will be made to the participant’s original purchase method.

  • As each school’s Prom Committee nears the end of its mandate, members invite a group of juniors to take the baton for the following year. In some cases, Prom Reps are voted in as part of student council. The ideal Prom Reps are reliable, organized, doers, and most of all, willing & committed to take on such a big responsibility.   • Prom Reps are responsible for planning every detail of prom, including all the fun stuff!

    At several meetings throughout the year, they receive pro coaching from us, benefitting from our years of practical experience to learn everything from marketing to fundraising, sales to décor.

    To help offset ticket prices, they organize fundraising events. And on Prom Night itself, they help make sure things go smoothly. But mostly, they enjoy the experience with their fellow graduates.

    Organizing prom is a truly rewarding experience. Not only do you develop valuable skills to take into post-secondary studies and employment, you get to feel amazing about helping create one of the most memorable nights of your friends’ lives!

  • The hottest DJs in the city are lined up to play your prom. Expect the latest popular music to keep the dance floor packed all night. If you have a special song you’ve just gotta hear, make the request in advance through your Prom Committee or right at the event!

  • If the straight-forward "Will you go with me to Prom?" is too boring for you, consider one of these more imaginative ways of popping the question:

    • Surprise your intended with an impromptu performance of a song you’ve rewritten as a prom-posal.
    • Write out the question in food (fries! chips!) in the lunch room.
    • Suck up to the principal's office to gain access to the intercom system.
    • Create an inventive request with Tumblr or Vine or Instagram.
    • Two words: Harlem. Shake. Organize a flash mob to bust out somewhere at school that ends with you holding a big handmade sign.
